Attorney Piscatelli Brigham grew up in Woodbury, Connecticut graduating from Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, Connecticut. She received her B.A. degree, cum laude, in International Relations, from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and her juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Syracuse Univeristy College of Law where she was a published author and Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce.
Upon graduating, she became employed as an associate with Gager, Henry and Narkis where she practiced in the insurance defense and commercial litigation departments. In 1990 she joined the firm of Tinley, Nastri, Renehan and Dost where she continued her litigation practice until 1995 when she established the firm of Mary Piscatelli Brigham Attorney at Law, LLC in Waterbury, Connecticut, and subsequently opened an office in Woodbury, Connecticut.
